no matter what they do to you, in the end you come back better, faster, stronger than ever
when you’re a monster, the end of the movie is not your bleeding-out body or your forced heteronormative sticky-sweet happily-ever-after. no, the film ends with your opening eyes and somewhere, somehow, the man who hurt you feels a shiver down his back.
